Supporting Australian grape and wine producers

The Australian Wine Research Institute

Environment literature collection

The John Fornachon Memorial Library maintains a collection of environmental process improvement and sustainability literature specific to grapegrowing and winemaking. This collection is an integral part of the Library's technical grape and wine literature and was made into a publicly assessable special collection and database in May 2004. This initiative, endorsed by the Wine Industry National Environment Committee (WINEC), was taken in support of Sustaining Success (the Australian wine industry's environment strategy) and built on the requirement of Strategy 2025 to 'accelerate the adoption of ecologically sustainable practices throughout all aspects of industry operations'.

The most recent additions to the special collection are published in the AWRI's bimonthly publication, Technical Review.

Due to copyright restrictions only the literature citation is shown on the search screen but the actual literature can be obtained directly from the Librarian on email: infoservices@awri.com.au or by fax: 08 8303 6601.

For additional information on environmental process improvement and sustainability matters please contact the AWRI's Process and Environmental Engineer, Dr Richard Muhlack, by phone on 08 8303 6600 or by email at: sustainability@awri.com.au.
